A Games MOOC is a Massive Online Open Course focusing on game based learning in education. Connectivist MOOCs or cMOOCs started in 2008. Since then there have been a series of these free connectivism open online courses offered. The Games MOOC is informed by their design and implementation.
The Summer Games MOOC 2013 is now over! We will be starting the #gamemooc tweetchat back up at the end of October at 7 pm MT using #gamemooc.
The Games MOOC will be going on hiatus and returning on October 28, 2013 for Makers, Hackers and Gamers.
We are exploring educational engagement in the Maker Movement, hacking along with the CCCS Hackathon project, the gamer disposition, modding and game building. Oh and building board games and Minecraft!
